What is a good dog breed for our family and other pets?

Havanese are awesome dogs. Please adopt and don't buy. They come anywhere from about 10 lbs to just over 20, although I had a mini one that was 6 lbs. They have lovely dispositions, aren't afraid of big dogs, and don't bark much because they don't have little dog syndrome. They don't shed and are non allergenic, but they do require grooming.
