Coming out to your parents?

I'm 17 and I'm gay. I was thinking about coming out to my mom and dad. Mom, don't think she'll have a problem however, my dad on the other hand, he's in the army, I'm an army bart. I'm on the football team, I have no fashion sense, I can't dance, He's a mechanic so I know a lot about cars, I'm even dating a cheerleader (it's a cover thought). I've haven't done anything to ever come off as gay. So what I want to know is should I tell them?
