Cat bites severly grandma. Is this normal under cirstances?

Im pretty sure the cat got freaked out by what was going on outside. All the new sounds and things its never seen. Then your mom suddenly grabbing the cat did not help either, the kitty got very freaked out. I think your mom is over reacting, the cat did not know what it was doing. Hopefully it is inside and safe now. Good luck!
