I just got a new boyfriend but this relationship is totally different than any other i've ever had&i'mconfused?

so to start this i'll say that i've been happier over the last two weeks than i've been in over a year... i met this guy at a halloween party... we were both smashed... but we didn't do anything... we clicked like right away though... and we kept hanging out after then... and with in a couple of days he started introducing me as his girlfriend... and i had no objection so i started introducing him as my boyfriend... and i've been so happy since i met him and i'm having so much fun with him... but the question of 'is this a good idea' keeps running through my head... i have only known him for two weeks... but what could really go wrong... the worst that can happen is we move on from each other... he's gentle, nice and funny but this is totally new to me... do you think it's a bad idea? some of my friends think so...
