How do you handle a mother who seems to want you destroyed?

Do your self a favor, keep all her letters and then send her a registered letter stating that you wish her to stop the slander tell her that if she continues to be so abusive you will be forced to execute a restraining order and take her to court if need be. Then do your best to continue on with your lives.As people have said she is a sad and bitter old woman , and I am sure everyone feels bad about that, but she dose not now or ever have the right to slander and may be ruin lives, If trouble dose come up you have her letters (and tape any phone calls and visits - tell her that you are doing it as well, from the start of the conversation. ) I am sorry you have this in your life I hope it gets better.
