Confused on husbands reactions to newborn twins?

During my first pregnancy and up until 11 months ago my husband was so attentive to me and our first born son (he's 3 now). I mean we would argue over who would change our sons diaper (we were that excited to have him). Well, in July I gave birth to twin boys. I wasn't even supposed to be able to have anymore children, so this was a big surprise. During the pregnancy my husband hardly gave me and our son the time of day. He stayed at work all the time and even still tries to get out of the house every opportunity he gets. It is very obvious he doesn't want to be here. He hardly shows any affection towards the boys and I almost have to beg him to help me with them. He made the comment the other day that he wanted a girl so bad. Also when I pointed out that the twins have strawberry blond hair like I do he got mad and said that it's going to be blond because that's what he prayed for and then he took off my flip flop (he was sitting in the floor) and hit the top of my foot with it as hard as he could. What in the world is going on with him? Do you think he resents the babies???
