In your opinion, is my boyfriend a jerk? Should I leave him?

My birthday is coming up (6/6/92) he mistook my birthday for (5/6/09) this year rather than next month. He lives across country so even though he said "happy birthday" he didn't send me a present or anything. All he did was give me a card 3 days after he mistook my birthday for May 6th not June 6th. Not to mention, every time he "thinks" were fighting or we are fighting he puts his phone on flight mode. He had his phone on flight mode all of yesterday because he said he didn't care nor did he "want" to talk to me. When he finally picked up the phone yesterday he said "Congratulations you got in touch with me, now what do you want?". Not to mention, I was afraid I was pregnant and furiously kept calling him and telling him to call me. I left messages with no response, until the next day. Am I stupid or is he being jerky. This (flight mode ) thing is not the first time it happened. This has been going on for like 6 months now. What do you think?
